Class Information

What age can my child start dance classes?
We offer classes for children as young as 18 months through our First Steps Program. Our weekly leveled classes begin around age 6 and up.

Do you have classes for beginners?
Yes! We welcome dancers of all experience levels. Whether your child is brand new or has years of training, we have a class that’s just the right fit.

What styles of dance do you offer?
We offer a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Acro, Baton and more!

How do I know which class is right for my dancer?
Feel free to review our "Classes" page to see a breakdown of classes by age.  Our staff is also happy to help you find the perfect class based on your child’s age, experience, and interests. Just reach out and we’ll guide you through the options.

Can boys take classes at your studio?
Absolutely! Dance is for everyone, and we encourage all children to explore their creativity through movement.  Boys are welcome in any of our classes, but Dance Fit, Tap, and Hip Hop are our most popular for boys. 

What happens if we miss a class?

Make-up classes may be available depending on the class! Please contact the front desk to find the best option for your dancer.

Tuition & Payments

How much is tuition?
Tuition varies based on the number of classes taken each week. A full tuition breakdown is available on our website here.

Is there a registration fee?
Yes, a non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of enrollment to hold your dancer’s spot.  It is $50 per student or $75 per family.

Are there discounts for siblings or multiple classes?
Yes! We offer multi-class and sibling discounts. See our Tuition & Fees page for more information.

When is tuition due?

Tuition is charged monthly via autodraft with the option to have drafted on the 1st, 5th or 10th day of each month. If no option is selected, it will be drafted on the 5th of the month. If you wish to pay by check or cash, payment must be received before the 5th of the month. Additional fees such as costume and recital fees are also auto-drafted in the months they occur.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit/debit cards, auto-pay, and some forms of electronic payment. Cash and checks may also be accepted at the studio.

What happens if we miss a class or the studio is closed?

There is NO refund for missed classes as make-up classes can be scheduled, nor are classes prorated for missed classes.  In the event the studio is closed, you may make up your class in a similar one.

Recital

Do you have an annual recital?
Yes! Our season concludes with a professionally staged recital that gives dancers the chance to perform for family and friends and celebrate their growth.

Is participation in the recital required?
Recital participation is encouraged but not mandatory. Please notify us by October 1st if your child will not participate.

When and where is the recital held?
Our recital typically takes place in late May at the Bama Theatre. Specific dates and details are announced in advance.

What costs are associated with the recital?
Families are responsible for a recital fee of $95 to offset rental and operating costs of the Bama Theatre; costume fee (per class) which ranges from $85-$150, any needed accessories/shoes and recital tickets.  Please see the Tuition & Fees page for more information on these costs and when they will be applied.

Will my child have more than one costume?
Each class typically performs one dance in the recital, which means one costume per class enrolled with the exception of our Dance Mix classes which have 2. Dancers in multiple classes will have multiple costumes.

Studio Information

Where are you located?
Our studio is conveniently located at 3695 Watermelon Rd in Northport near Fairfax Park.  Look for our white 3D sign!

Where should I park?
Parking is available in the lot directly in front of the studio. During busy times, overflow parking is available at Indian Lake Baptist Church.  Please be mindful not to block entrances, fire lanes, or our drive through.  Also, please do not park next door at the insurance office lot as you will be towed.

Can parents stay and watch class?
We love having supportive families! While we don’t allow parents in the classroom during regular instruction, we do offer designated observation weeks throughout the season so you can see your dancer’s progress.  For First Steps parents, we have a viewing window so that you can watch your child. 

What amenities does the studio offer?
Our lobby includes comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and a viewing window (where applicable). We also have a water station and restrooms.

Is there a dress code?
Yes. Each dance style has a specific dress code to ensure safety and promote proper technique. You’ll receive the dress code guidelines at registration, or you can find them on our website here.

Is your facility safe and clean?
Absolutely. Our studio is cleaned regularly, and our staff is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every student.
